What exactly is goX, and why should I care?
GoX is the internal Gopass currency, available to all registered Gopass members. It can be earned on purchases and then spent on other services or experiences within the Gopass programme.
What is Gopass Cashback?
Gopass Cashback is a loyalty programme that rewards you every time you spend. Simply put: you buy something → you get a portion back → you use it to experience more.
How much can I get back?
You can earn between 1.5% and 5% cashback, depending on your cashback level. The more you use Gopass, the higher your level – and the more you can earn back.
Where can I earn goX cashback?
Cashback can be earned on:
- purchases via the Gopass website or app,
- hotel stays booked through gopass.travel or TMR Hotels,
- ski passes, cable car tickets and water park tickets,
- food, retail and purchases in resorts or Motion shops.
What should you not forget?
Always log in to your Gopass account before making a purchase and present your Gopass card at the terminal. Otherwise, cashback won’t be credited – and it can’t be added later.
When will my goX be credited?
Not instantly, but usually one day after you use the purchased service or make your purchase. The reason is simple: this allows time for any cancellations or changes.
What can I spend goX on?
Your goX can be spent on almost everything Gopass offers:
- season passes, ski passes and cable car tickets,
- water park tickets,
- hotels and services while staying there,
- restaurants and additional services in resorts.
When won’t I receive cashback?
Keep an eye on the following:
- if you’re not logged into Gopass when purchasing,
- if you book accommodation through third-party platforms,
- on selected discounted or partner products.
Is it actually worth it?
Absolutely – especially if you use Gopass regularly.
For example:
- you pay 1,000 € for a hotel getaway,
- you get 50 € back,
- plus additional cashback on services and purchases while staying at the hotel.
This means you can save tens or even hundreds of euros.
Does goX cashback expire? (and when do I lose it?)
Yes – but not as quickly as you might think.
GoX cashback doesn’t expire continuously; instead, it depends on the account activity.
Specifically:
- Your goX cashback will expire only if you don’t make any Gopass purchase for 2 years.
What does this mean in practice?
- If you use Gopass from time to time → your goX stays active.
- If you stop using it for a longer period → you may lose your cashback.
Even a small purchase resets the timeframe.
Does cashback apply to hotel stays?
Yes – and this is where you can earn the most. If you book a hotel via Gopass, cashback can reach up to 10% of the booking value. Cashback can also be earned on extras such as massages or drinks while staying at the hotel.
Is it worth being a Gopass member?
Definitely.
To get the most out of it:
- stay logged into your Gopass account,
- enable marketing communication,
- keep an eye on offers and promotions.
