Szczyrk Mountain Resort has long been considered a winter legend among Polish ski resorts. It is located in the heart of the Silesian Beskids, on the slopes of Mt Małe Skrzyczne (1,211 m a.s.l.) and Mt Pośredni Wierch (1,000 m a.s.l.). It offers nearly 25 kilometres of varied pistes, from wide, family friendly runs to challenging ones for experienced skiers. Night skiing is available on 5 kilometres of floodlit pistes, and comfortable transport is provided by modern cable cars: a 10-person gondola, three fast 6-seater chairlifts, drag lifts and the Maxiland Arena children’s zone – a colourful space designed for the little ones.
But Szczyrk doesn’t close with the last snowfall – quite the opposite. In summer, it transforms into a lively entertainment hub with something for everyone. It’s a place where adrenaline lovers and adventurers meet, but also where you can simply relax in the fresh mountain air.
New for summer 2026: The year-round Salamandra Alpine Coaster
Summer at Szczyrk Mountain Resort will bring a brand-new attraction that will delight adrenaline seekers and families alike. The Salamandra Alpine Coaster is the most modern year-round alpine coaster in the Beskids and, from the very start of the summer holidays, will offer visitors a unique combination of speed, fun and panoramic views.
The coaster starts at the popular Hala Skrzyczeńska at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level and takes riders through a series of bends, hairpin turns and spectacular loops along a nearly 750-metre descent. The maximum speed reaches 40 km/h, but each rider can control their own pace using the brake system.

The Salamandra Alpine Coaster will be one of the biggest new attractions of the summer in the Polish Beskids and is certainly an experience you should not miss during your visit to Szczyrk.

Szczyrk in summer: Adrenaline, adventure and relaxation with the best views
During the warmer months, Szczyrk Mountain Resort is full of energy thanks to Szczyrk Bike Park by TREK – the resort’s summer edition. The local bike trails consistently prove they are of world-class quality – technically challenging, impressive and exciting for spectators alike. Thanks to major international events, including the UCI MTB World Cup and downhill racing competitions, Szczyrk is increasingly earning its place among Europe’s premier cycling destinations.
We wanted to make the trail smoother, so we’ve added more jumps, sped up the previously slow sections and slowed down those that were a bit too fast,”
says Bartek Giemza, the main trail creator.

CHILL & FUN: Where activity meets relaxation
After a day full of sports and adventure, it’s time to relax, and the best place to do that is in the completely new CHILL & FUN zone at Hala Skrzyczeńska. It is the perfect spot for those looking for a balance between fun and relaxation, all with stunning mountain views.
SZCZYRK sign: A symbol of summer in the mountains
The giant SZCZYRK sign is the centrepiece of this zone. It immediately grabs attention and invites interaction. It’s perfect for memorable photos, but there is also a marble run hidden.
Attraction for children: Marble run
Some of the letters in the sign have been turned into tracks where children can let their wooden mini balls run. These can be purchased at the vending machine next to the Kuflonka Restaurant, and kids can then guide them through the maze hidden in the letters. Afterwards, they can take the balls home as unique souvenirs from their summer mountain adventures.
Relaxation zone in Szczyrk
Next to the SZCZYRK sign, there are wooden deckchairs with panoramic mountain views. It’s the ideal place for:
- soaking up the sunshine,
- reading a book in the fresh air,
- relaxing after a bike ride or hike,
- or simply enjoying some well-deserved “sweet doing nothing.”
The zone is located near the Kuflonka Restaurant, where the menu will make your chill-out time much more enjoyable..

Photo points in Szczyrk
Szczyrk is a place you’ll want to capture and remember. That’s why there are designated photo points with the best views:
- Hala Skrzyczeńska (above the Kuflonka Restaurant) – featuring the iconic “pin” installation, a perfect backdrop for photos with mountain panoramas.
- Zbójnicka Kopa – a stunning viewpoint for cycling fans and hikers.
- Małe Skrzyczne – magical scenery with sweeping views of the Silesian Beskids.
Collecting snapshots at these photo points is a great idea for a family outing – even with little ones, as the panoramic gondola cable car can take you comfortably up to Mt Hala Skrzyczeńska. Szczyrk in the summer season is a place you simply have to experience.
