Transport
How to plan your journey to the resort? Ankogel Mallnitz in Austria is 480 km away from Bratislava. There are several ways how to get there – by train, bus or car. If you choose the car, a motorway tax disc might save you time and guarantee more comfort while travelling. The car park in the Ankogel Mallnitz resort is free of charge.

The mountain hotel is located at the altitude of 2,565 metres and is ideal for skiers who want to be the first to enjoy ski pistes in the morning, which the hotel location enables.
The restaurant serves traditional specialities of the Austrian kitchen. There are sanitary facilities, a ski depot with a ski boot dryer and breathtaking views. And if you are a member of Alpenverein, there is a membership discount on accommodation included and you can add half board too. It consists of a breakfast buffet and a 4-course dinner menu. Vegetarians and vegans will be satisfied too.
Snow conditions
There are pistes for skiers of all levels, terrain for freeriders and ski touring lovers. When the weather is bad on the Mölltal glacier, Ankogel is a great alternative. What’s more, ski passes are valid in both resorts. With the Gopass mobile app, one can check webcams anytime and anywhere and see which pistes and cable cars are open. The app informs about snow conditions, the weather and all updates and events in the resort.
What will you love at Ankogel Mallnitz?
- If you buy ski passes online, you will skip the queues at ticket offices. You can get on a cable car at the lower station and travel to the altitude of 2,636 metres by changing only once. Ankogel Mallnitz is ideal for families, skiers, freeride fans as well as ski tourers.
- The resort is located in the High Tauern National Park, at the end of the Mallnitz village, about 30 km away from the Mölltaler Gletscher resort. This means it is easy to combine skiing in both resorts on holiday.
- There are almost 18 kilometres of pistes and lovely Alpine panoramas. In addition to groomed pistes, one can frolic in freeride zones and powder snow lovers can enjoy themselves to the fullest in Ankogel too. When the weather is bad on the Mölltal glacier, Ankogel is a great alternative. The winter season begins usually in the second half of December and lasts until spring.
